Campus Overview - Sustainability

For the seventh consecutive year, the Princeton Review named Salisbury University one of the nation’s most environmentally responsible colleges. In 2008, SU’s Teacher Education and Technology Center became the first LEED-certified new construction project on the Eastern Shore, earning Silver status. Since then, nine other new or renovated campus buildings have earned LEED Gold or Silver certification. The University actively supports many Green programs on campus including a student Green Fund, an academic sustainability committee, and a university sustainability committee. The university offers self-service bicycling repair stations, shuttle transportation with an app to track bus locations called “NextBus”, free access to Shore Transit buses using a Gull Card, water bottle filling stations, and a wide range of other resources for everyone to get involved in being “green.”  Please visit salisbury.edu/sustain for more information.
